CLINICAL PHARMACIST REQUIRED
Staploe Pharmacy are looking for a Full time or possible part time Pharmacist to join our well established team in Soham, Cambridgeshire.
We are a unique independent Community Pharmacy operating inside the Staploe Medical Centre and have close relationships with our local community and clinicians. We have a significant prescription turnover and this is complimented by our generous support staff, which includes experienced Dispensers, Technicians, ACT and site manager. It is a well managed and highly organised business.
The chosen candidate will carry out day to day activities connected with the preparation and supply of medicines and will provide advice to patients on the use of medicines as well as on general health and lifestyle matters.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
Maintaining a professional and welcoming approach to all aspects of the role
Supervise the safe preparation of medicines as well as sale of medicines by the Healthcare assistants
Providing expert clinical advice to customers
Participating in local services i.e. Flu vaccines, CPCS etc.
Support the supervision and training of new staff
To check prescription medicines to patients, checking the form, strength, dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely labelled and supplied
To abide by the GPhC code of ethics, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations
Build strong working relationships with colleagues and health care professionals
To keep up to date with current pharmacy practise, new drugs and their uses for the purpose of continuing professional development
If there are additional services which may interest you then we would be willing to consider implementing these. Pharmacy opening hours: Mon 08.00 to 21.00, Tue to Fri 08.00 to 19.00 and Saturday 08.30 to 16.30
Contractual hours will be agreed with the candidate. Some flexibility will be required but can be discussed at interview.
Salary: £28/hr plus bonuses.
